The best songs of 2015 continued

Moon-Eyed Walrus-Cayucas

This associative song, sounds a bit like a Dali painting come to life. But the chorus is the sort of thing that you find yourself turning up and singing along to...even if it's unclear what all the words are. Turn it up and sing along.

All I Want is to Be Your Girl-Holly Miranda (explicit)

The song starts with the days are short but the nights are long, we could eff in the sun and dance till dawn, but all I want is to be your girl."The kind of raw desire that suffuses the opening of this song is what makes it so good. And it feels like an inversion of the traditional girl strumming on a guitar song pining away for her man.

I Belong in Your Arms-Chairlift

This song doesn't waste time in being upbeat, which is always a pleasure. Who wants to wait around for the beat? Let's get right to work.

Uh-Huh-Romans

Remember the 1980's? Me neither. But the music was pretty drab. Or maybe it wasn't? This song is the best of all the 1980's packed into a song about how we're all superstars. We are.

Is this How you Feel-The Preatures

Let's dance around the room because just look at how hard this whole band is trying to be cool. I feel like I could ride my bike to this concert, with a handle bar mustache and a copy of something by Camus.

Rise up Singing-Trigger Hippy

If you don't like this song then you don't like life. And that might be an understatement. You probably don't like videos of baby animals doing cute things either. And also you think chocolate croissants are too rich. Get out of here and start shaking your head to this song.

Roll up Your Sleeves-Meg Mac

Is there clapping in a song? Yes. Let's dance underneath the stars or maybe just in a basement somewhere. I don't really care. Everything is going to be all right. Let's put our arms around each other and remember that we may not be alive forever, but we're alive right now and it feels so damn good.

Tear in My Heart--Twenty one Pilots-

This song is a mix of Green Day and peak Coner Oberst. So turn it up and let this girl carve your heart out while you scream along. It's okay. The song will eventually be over, and we'll still be here sitting around the table with a beer, all these people who have loved you since before you even knew who she was.

Flashed Junk Mind-Milky Chance

A couple of songs ago the Preatures were trying desperately hard to be hipsters. These guys are legit hipsters, and this song is so awesome to turn up and listen to with the windows down. And yes, they ride around on scooters in the video and pee on the side of the road. Take a moment while we still have decent weather to listen to it with the windows down and then maybe go do a handstand in a field.

Haim-Forever

This is a polished version of the Is this How you Feel Song, with a fantastic beat hopping you from chorus to chorus and a great bridge.
